Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competes in the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her older sister and a fellow UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sporting career by becoming an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a the unanimous vote. Antonina kept her winning streak going by getting bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in the year 2011, and the 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. In 2012 she won her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won the fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut was in 2002, at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She took the fight by TKO after round 2. Her subsequent 2 matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko stopped fighting to focus on boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui in a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in a unanimous decision. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina used her superior fighting skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision after she won her debut fight. Antonina returned to the ring after the defeat and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. The fight was awarded Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko lost 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts she lost to Ariane Lipski before losing to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee.
